Origen, evolución e historia del freestyle

Las batallas de freestyle conforman una disciplina derivada del rap, estas se basan en
enfrentamientos de rimas improvisadas sobre diferentes instrumentales en duelos de uno contra
uno o más participantes. Durante los últimos años, sus rangos de popularidad han crecido
exponencialmente, de tal forma que es ahora cuando los medios de comunicación generalistas
comienzan a elaborar contenidos sobre la actualidad del freestyle creando espacios especializados
que concentran su atención en el circuito competitivo. Sin embargo, el freestyle ha sido una
modalidad minoritaria durante muchas décadas y para alcanzar la situación actual y comprender
el verdadero significado de sus valores es necesario conocer sus orígenes, influencias y todo el
desarrollo que han experimentado tanto el rap como el freestyle. Específicamente, se ha sometido
a estudio la historia completa de la disciplina con el objetivo de comprender las claves de su éxito
y de aproximar una cultura distante del agrado de la opinión pública a una nueva audiencia que
surge gracias al reciente acercamiento entre periodismo y rap. Los resultados evidencian la clara
influencia de la comunidad afroamericana en la evolución del mismo. También que el interés por
el rap en España y Latinoamérica y la arriesgada apuesta de determinadas empresas y medios de
comunicación a lo largo del tiempo fueron claves para desembocar en el presente del freestyle.
The freestyle battles are a discipline derived from rap, these are based on confrontations
of improvised rhymes on different instrumentals in duels of one against one or more participants.
During the last few years, its popularity ranks have grown exponentially, so much so that it is now
when the general media begin to elaborate content on freestyle news creating specialized spaces
that focus their attention on the competitive circuit. However, freestyle has been a minority
modality for many decades and to reach the current situation and understand the true meaning of
its values it is necessary to know its origins, influences and all the development that both rap and
freestyle have experienced. Specifically, the complete history of the discipline has been studied
in order to understand the keys to its success and to bring a culture far from the public's liking
closer to a new audience that has emerged thanks to the recent rap-journalism rap. The results
show the clear influence of the African-American community in the evolution of rap. Also that
the interest in rap in Spain and Latin America and the risky bet of certain companies and media
over time were key to lead to the present of freestyle.
