Este trabajo se orienta al análisis textual de las películas Eu Sei que Vou Amar (1986) de
Arnaldo Jabor y ¡Átame! (1989) de Pedro Almodóvar en el sentido de buscar aproximaciones
y divergencias en la representación de relaciones amorosas donde la violencia se presenta
como desencadenante del encuentro sexual. Partiendo de la experiencia emocional
desencadenada por las películas, el análisis pone en juego los elementos simbólicos del pulpo
y de las ataduras, centrales para estas representaciones del amor por los cineastas.
This work is oriented towards the textual analysis of the films Eu Sei que Vou Amar (1986)
by Arnaldo Jabor and ¡Átame! (1989) by Pedro Almodóvar in order to seek approximations
and divergences in the representation of love relationships where violence is presented as a
trigger for the sexual encounter. Starting from the emotional experience triggered by the films,
the analysis examines the symbolic elements of the octopus and the ties, central to these
representations of love by the filmmakers.
