En 1927, Walter Gropius plantea un Teatro que respondía a las necesidades escénicas del momento. Si bien es
cierto que ha habido grandes avances tecnológicos en el mundo de la escenografía, El Teatro Total de Walter
Gropius podría haber dado respuesta a muchas de las representaciones que presenciamos hoy día.
El trabajo pretende analizar las estrategias que empleaba Walter Gropius para diseñar su teatro, comparándolas
con puestas en escena, pabellones, montajes, instalaciones y otras representaciones que puedan tener cualquier
reminiscencia del Teatro Total. Cada uno de los capítulos se centrará uno de los aspectos que Gropius reflejó en el
libro: "Teatro Politico" de Edwin Piscator
n 1927, Walter Gropius proposed a Theater which answered to the scenic needs of the moment. It is a fact, that there
have been technological advances in the world of scenography, but Walter Gropius' Total Theater could have had a lot
ways to attend most of the performances we witness these days.
The work intends to analyze the strategies which Walter Gropius used to design his theater, comparing them with
scenographies, pavilions, stage montages, installations and other representations that could have any reminiscence
of the Total Theater. Each of the chapters, will focus on one of the aspects that Gropius reflected in the book: "Political
Theatre" by Edwin Piscator.
