Este estudio investiga las características y cambios experimentados por las mujeres migrantes
empleadas en el sector del trabajo doméstico en España, así como su trayectoria laboral desde
sus inicios. Se examinan las modificaciones en el marco normativo de este sector y se analiza
la influencia del período de la COVID-19. Se identifican los hallazgos más relevantes a
través de un análisis cualitativo basado en 16 entrevistas semiestructuradas a mujeres
latinoamericanas en Valladolid, realizadas por la autora de este documento. El análisis revela
cinco ámbitos/dimensiones que capturan los principales hallazgos de la investigación,
relacionados con el proyecto migratorio, las características y la evolución laboral de las
mujeres migrantes en España.
This study explores the characteristics and transformations experienced by migrant women
employed in the domestic work sector in Spain, as well as their career trajectory since their
initial entry. It delves into the modifications in the regulatory framework concerning this
sector and the impact of the COVID-19 period. The most relevant findings are identified
through a qualitative analysis based on 16 semi-structured interviews with Latin American
women in Valladolid, conducted by the author of this document. The analysis reveals five
domains/dimensions that encompass the key findings of the research, encompassing the
migrant project, the characteristics, and the evolution in the labor sphere for migrant women
in Spain.
