Escuela de Ingeniería Informática de Valladolid Pese que las ramas de Ciencia, Tecnología, Ingeniería y Matemáticas (STEM) son las que más trabajo proporcionan hoy en día, el número de mujeres que tienen este tipo de vocación es menor al número de hombres. Después de analizar la opinión de algunos futuros profesores se ha obtenido la conclusión de que las alumnas en muchas ocasiones no eligen este tipo de ramas por falta de referentes femeninos. Gracias a esta información se ha estudiado la situación actual a la que se enfrentan los estudiantes en cuanto a referentes femeninos en su educación. Para ello se ha cogido la principal herramienta de los docentes, los libros de texto. Esta herramienta muestra un sesgo de género en cuanto a la muestra de referentes hacia los alumnos, un uso abusivo del género masculino y en muchas ocasiones las imágenes que aparecen son estereotipadas. Para intentar revertir esta situación se ha creado una propuesta didáctica sobre referentes STEM femeninos, con el fin de ser implantada en un centro educativo de forma paralela a la programación anual de los docentes. Esta propuesta esta diseñada sin un contexto particular, por lo que para implantarla, los docentes principales podrán modificar según su contexto las actividades planteadas. Despite the fact that Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields are the ones that provide the most work these days, the number of women who have this type of vocation is lower than the number of men. After analysing the opinions of some future teachers, it was concluded that female students often do not choose this type of field due to a lack of female role models. Thanks to this information, it has been possible to study the current situation faced by students in terms of female role models regarding their education. For this purpose, the main tool used by teachers, textbooks, was used. This tool shows a gender bias in terms of the references shown to students, an abusive use of the male gender and on many occasions the images that appear are stereotyped. In order to try to reverse this situation, a didactic proposal on female STEM references has been created, with the objective of it being implemented in an educational centre in parallel to the teachers’ annual programme. This proposal is designed without a particular context.
