El objetivo del trabajo es determinar los factores que pueden influir en el desempeño y actitud de
los alumnos hacia la asignatura de Fundamentos de Organización de Empresas, así como conocer
mejor las características de dichos alumnos.
El trabajo describe el desarrollo de un análisis descriptivo, así como de una segmentación de sectores
utilizando el algoritmo k-prototype, utilizando la distancia de Gower como medida de similitud, como
método de clustering de los alumnos de la asignatura de Fundamentos de Organización de Empresas
desde el curso 2014-2015 hasta el 2020-2021.
Para obtener los datos con los que trabajar se ha elaborado y enviado un cuestionario a los mencionados
alumnos, además de solicitar a los Servicios de la UVa datos de Sigma de los alumnos que
desean participar en el estudio, todo ello cumpliendo con la regulación legal existente en materia de
protección de datos personales.
The objective of this work is to determine the factors that can influence the performance and attitude
of students towards the subject of Fundamentals of Business Organization, as well as to gain a better
understanding of the characteristics of these students.
The work describes the development of a descriptive analysis, as well as sector segmentation using
the k-prototype algorithm, utilizing Gower’s distance as a measure of similarity, as a clustering method
for the students of the subject Fundamentals of Business Organization from the 2014-2015 to 2020-
2021 academic years.
To obtain the data to work with, a questionnaire was developed and sent to the mentioned students,
in addition to requesting data from UVa Services regarding the students who wish to participate in the
study, all in compliance with the existing legal regulations regarding the protection of personal data.
