Evolución de la industria musical urbana en España durante el S.XXI Pereira Rodríguez, Marcos Gómez Rubio, Leire Universidad de Valladolid. Facultad de Filosofía y Letras La música urbana conforma un pilar fundamental en la cultura española, la gran mayoría de géneros que la conforman nacen del hip hop, más exactamente del rap. Actualmente, su popularidad ha incrementado convirtiéndose en un fenómeno de masas, aun así, el trato de los medios de comunicación y de los trabajos profesionales es mínimo. En su nacimiento, el rap centraba su expresión artística en la crítica, resaltando las condiciones deplorables con las que la cultura afroamericana debía convivir día a día. Rápidamente se extendió por el resto del mundo, con su llegada a España, se adaptaron las composiciones a la realidad del país. Para comprender sus orígenes y su rápida evolución se ha de entender múltiples factores que han aportado a su crecimiento durante estas dos últimas décadas. En este trabajo, se ha sometido a estudio la historia y los cambios que ha sufrido esta expresión cultural en España durante el siglo XXI con el objetivo de entender los factores de su gran difusión y con el fin de acercar el periodismo a esta rama que cada vez tiene más fuerza en la sociedad. Los resultados obtenidos dejan claro que ha sido la música urbana la que ha tenido que ganarse su lugar en la atención de los medios de comunicación tradicionales. Pero que, en cambio, ha sido uno de los temas principales que se han tratado en las nuevas formas de periodismo adaptado a la digitalización. Urban music is a fundamental pillar of Spanish culture, the vast majority of genres that make it up are born of hip hop, more precisely rap. Currently, its popularity has increased, becoming a mass phenomenon, even so, the treatment of the media and professional jobs is minimal. At its birth, rap focused its artistic expression on criticism, highlighting the deplorable conditions with which the African-American culture had to live day by day. It quickly spread to the rest of the world, and when it arrived in Spain, the compositions were adapted to the reality of the country. To understand its origins and its rapid evolution, it is necessary to understand the multiple factors that have contributed to its growth during the last two decades. In this work, the history and the changes that this cultural expression has undergone in Spain during the 21st century have been studied with the aim of understanding the factors of its great diffusion and with the purpose of bringing journalism closer to this branch that has more and more strength in society. The results obtained make it clear that it has been urban music that has had to earn its place in the attention of the traditional media.
