Desde que Eurovisión se celebrara por primera vez el 24 de mayo de 1956 en Suiza,
como un certamen en el que la música fuera un nexo para unir naciones, ha
evolucionado mucho hasta el día de hoy. Reconocid o históricamente por ser un gran
promotor de la música y la cultura europea , la era digital ha propiciado un impulso para
el festival en los últimos años, provocando su resurgir con el apoyo de cientos de miles
de eurofan e s . Este término con el que se nomb ra a los seguidores del festival y todo lo
relacionado con él no fue admitido en la RAE hasta 2021, como parte de l a nueva era
eurovisiva. Esta adaptación ha pasado a los países que forman parte del festival, como
en España, que, tras cambios en el equipo de la delegación española, ha dado vida de
nuevo al antiguo Benidorm F est con una cara renovada. El interés generado por el
festival ha crecido gracias a su cambio transmedia y hoy en día es uno de los programas
televisivos que acumula más audiencia cada a ño y genera un notable tráfico de tuits a
nivel global. Pero no solo tiene buenos datos durante su celebración ; a lo largo del año
recibe gran retroalimentación debido a las finales nacionales o a las publicaciones de
canciones de cada país, así como a los distintos formatos nacidos a partir de Eurovisión,
y el apoyo de una prensa especializada del festival que cuenta ya con una buena
cantidad de medios que siguen todo lo relacionado con el certamen desde cerca.
Since Eurovision was held for the first time on May 24
th of 1956, in Switzerland, as a
contest in which music was a link to unite nations, it has evolved a lot to this day.
Historically recognized for being a great promoter of European music and culture, the
digital era has provided a boost for the festival in recent ye ars, causing its revival with
the support of hundreds of thousands of e urofans. This term with which fans of the
festival and everything related to it are named was not admitted to the RAE until 2021,
as part of the new Eurovision era. This adaptation has passed to the countries that arepart of the festival, such as Spain, which, after changes in the team of the Spanish
delegation, has brought the old Benidorm Fest back to life with a renewed face. The
interest generated by the festival has grown thanks to its transmedia change and today it
is one of the TV programs that accumulates the most audience each year and generates
significant traffic of tweets globally. But it does not only have good data during its
celebration t hroughout the year it receives gre at feedback due to the national finals or
the publications of songs from each country, as well as the different formats born from
Eurovision, and the support of a specialized festival press that already has a suitable
number of media that follow everything related to the event closely.
