Historia de la Abogacía española: origen, evolución y regulación

Con el nacimiento del derecho de defensa, surgió el abogado, pieza clave a la hora de
representar y exponer ante un tribunal. Desde época romana se sintió la necesidad de
controlar y regular el oficio, idea que rápidamente se expandió al resto de países.
La creación de los Colegios de abogados y Procuradores ha sido objeto de diversas
regulaciones a lo largo de los siglos, hasta llegar a las leyes y Estatutos que actualmente
conocemos.
En este trabajo pretendo acercar al lector al origen e historia de la profesión y Colegios de
Abogados para pasar a centrarme en la regulación actual de dichas instituciones y
profesionales.
With the birth of the right to defense, the lawyer emerged, a key player when it comes to
representing and presenting in court. Since Roman times, the need to control and regulate
the trade was felt, an idea that quickly spread to other countries.
The creation of Bar Associations and Solicitors has been subject to various regulations over
the centuries, until reaching the laws and Bylaws that we currently know.
In this work I intend to bring the reader closer to the origin and history of the profession
and Bar Associations to focus on the current regulation of said institutions and
professionals.
