<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="es">La brecha salarial es el instrumento adecuado para medir las diferencias de salarios&#xd;
que perciben las mujeres y los hombres en el desempeño de un trabajo y en la que concurren&#xd;
circunstancias sociales, económicas, culturales, familiares, educativas, etc., provocando una&#xd;
situación de desigualdad de la mujer respecto al hombre.&#xd;
Como una de las causas de la brecha salarial, se puede mencionar el contrato a tiempo&#xd;
parcial, a pesar de ser una modalidad contractual flexible, que tiene como objetivo la&#xd;
conciliación familiar y laboral, se ha convertido en un contrato que perjudica a los&#xd;
trabajadores, sobre todo mujeres que se someten al mismo, en comparación con el trabajador&#xd;
a tiempo completo.</dim:field>

salaries received by women and men in the performance of their works, in which social,&#xd;
economic, cultural, family, educational, etc. circumstances concur, leading to a situation of&#xd;
inequality between women and men.&#xd;
As one of the causes of the gender pay gap, it is worth to mention the part-time&#xd;
contract, despite being a flexible contractual arrangement, which aims to reconcile family and&#xd;
work, it has become a contract that is detrimental to workers, especially women who are&#xd;
subject to it, in comparison with full-time workers.</dim:field>
