Existen diversas corrientes dentro de él, cada una con sus enfoques y características, pero todas comparten la preocupación por la relación entre la opresión de las mujeres y la explotación de la naturaleza. El presente trabajo consiste en una revisión de algunos de los primeros movimientos medioambientales liderados por mujeres o colectivos de mujeres en el contexto del surgimiento de la corriente teórica ecofeminista. Para ello, se han tomado los casos de Chipko (India), Green Belt Movement (Kenia) y Greenham Common (Inglaterra). Los tres comparten similitudes, como el liderazgo femenino, la visión holística de la relación entre naturaleza y sociedad, y el uso de la acción directa no violenta. También presentan diferencias en sus contextos, influencias filosóficas y religiosas, y objetivos específicos. Estos movimientos han dejado un legado duradero en la lucha por la justicia ambiental y de género, demostrando el poder de la resistencia pacífica, la creatividad y el liderazgo femenino. Su visión holística invita a repensar nuestra relación con la naturaleza y a construir un mundo más justo y sostenible. Ecofeminism, which combines feminism and environmentalism, emerged in the 1970s to address the oppression of women and the exploitation of nature. There are various currents within it, each with its approaches and characteristics, but they all share the concern for the relationship between the oppression of women and the exploitation of nature. This is a review of some of the first environmental movements led by women or women's collectives in the context of the emergence of the ecofeminist theoretical current. For this, the cases of Chipko (India), Green Belt Movement (Kenya) and Greenham Common (England) have been taken.
