En el actual marco regulatorio del comercio internacional es acuciante la necesidad de salvaguardar unos estándares adecuados de comportamiento empresarial «compliance», que garanticen la protección de los derechos humanos y del medio ambiente. El reto de esta nueva regulación, la Directiva (UE) 2024/1760, comporta una firme voluntad de alcanzar una trazabilidad allende sus fronteras, hacia una protección más amplia, efectiva y justa, coherente con los objetivos de la Unión Europea.
Abstract: In the present framework of international trade, there is a pressing need to uphold appropriate standards of corporate compliance to ensure the protection of human rights and the environment. The challenge of this new regulation, Directive (EU) 2024/1760, entails committed willingness to seek cross-border traceability, towards a broader observance, more effective and fair compliance that is consistent with the objectives of the European Union.
