Este lleva formando parte de nuestra realidad social desde hace años. Por ello, podemos afirmar que estamos hablando de un fenómeno cambiante y dinámico. Las cifras han evolucionado, presentando distintos patrones en función de la época social en la que nos encontráramos. En lo que respecta a España, presenta diferencias en el entorno y en los territorios en los que se asienta. Siendo este, uno de los países europeos que más inmigrantes acoge, resulta imprescindible hacer análisis periódicos del impacto que la inmigración tiene en el país. Gracias a los datos portados, como profesionales del Trabajo Social, nos permite identificar aquellas necesidades que presentan y, en función de estas, establecer estrategias de intervención y actuación. Para ello, existen diversas entidades colaboradoras que hacen posible que la estancia de los inmigrantes sea lo más favorable posible. Fundamentándose en los recursos jurídicos que ofrecen las políticas del país, estas asociaciones buscan la integración social de los inmigrantes. Es evidente que existen diferencias culturales a las que los individuos han de adaptarse. Sin embargo, no es este el único cambio que tienen que afrontar. Pérdidas materiales, barreras lingüísticas y escasez de redes de apoyo son obstáculos que los inmigrantes encuentran en su camino, favoreciendo al denominado “duelo migratorio”. The figures have evolved, presenting different patterns depending on the social era in which we find ourselves. Regarding Spain, there are differences in the environment and the territories where it settles. Being one of the European countries that receives the most immigrants, it is essential to conduct periodic analyses of the impact that immigration has on the country. Thanks to the provided data, as Social Work professionals, we can identify the needs that immigrants have and based on these, establish intervention and action strategies. To this end, there are various collaborating entities that make the stay of immigrants as favourable as possible. Based on the legal resources offered by the country's policies, these associations seek the social integration of immigrants. It is evident that there are cultural differences to which individuals must adapt. However, this is not the only change they must face.
