Muchos han sido los teóricos que han abordado el origen y esencia del ser humano, y han acabado concluyendo que este se podía caracterizar como un sujeto con tendencia a la fabricación y la acción. Dentro del siguiente trabajo vamos a retomar esta perspectiva para poder situarla en la sociedad actual ¿Cuáles son las características del homo faber moderno? ¿Acaso el hombre que hace y fabrica en la actualidad se puede seguir definiendo como homo faber? De la mano del filósofo surcoreano, Byung-Chul Han, elaboraremos una perspectiva crítica sobre la situación del hombre en la modernidad y, al mismo tiempo, iremos respondiendo a estas cuestiones. The term homo faber is a Latin expression whose meaning would be “the man who makes or manufactures.” There have been many philosophers who addressed the origin and essence of the human being and have ended up concluding that this could be characterized as a subject with a tendency towards fabrication and action. In the following, work we retake this perspective, in order to face it with the current thought: what are the characteristics of modern homo faber? Should the human being who makes and manufactures today still be defined homo faber?
