La Desamortización de José I Bonaparte y su repercusión en el patrimonio cultural Estudio de los documentos del Archivo General de Simancas

Estudio del proceso desamortizador llevado a cabo por José I Bonaparte a su
llegada al trono español, que afectó al patrimonio cultural de diversas órdenes religiosas
y realidades eclesiales, a través de la documentación de la sección de Gracia y Justicia
en el Archivo General de Simancas. Se realiza un acercamiento histórico a los
testimonios documentales del “Gobierno Intruso”, que ofrecen una detallada
información sobre el devenir del patrimonio afectado por las medidas bonapartistas. Por
medio de un análisis archivístico y documental de los expedientes tocantes a todas las
diócesis españolas, se expone la problemática del proceso desamortizador y sus
repercusiones patrimoniales.
Study of confiscation process carried out by José I Bonaparte upon his arrival
to the Spanish throne through the documentation of the Grace and Justice section in the
General Archive of Simancas (Valladolid), a process that affected the cultural heritage
of various religious orders and eclesial realities. A historical approach to the
documentary testimonies of the “Intrusive Government” is made to provide detailed
information about what happened to the heritage affected by Bonapartist measures. The
problems of the confiscation and the patrimonial repercussions are exposed through
archival and documentary análisis of the files relating to all Spanish dioceses.
