En este trabajo se pondrán de manifiesto los diferentes mecanismos que existen para denotar el foco, desde los mecanismos sintácticos hasta clases de palabras dedicadas específicamente a ello, como por ejemplo los adverbios de foco. Además, se realizará un contraste de carácter diatópico entre las formas más proliferantes de foco en diferentes áreas lingüísticas hispanohablantes. Focus is an informative function that serves to highlight segments in a message. The discursive role of focus is to specify the value of a variable. This work will demonstrate the different mechanisms that exist to denote focus, from syntactic mechanisms to classes of words specifically dedicated to denoting focus, such as focus adverbs.
