La enseñanza del español se adecúa a las características de la lengua que tiene por objeto de
estudio y, en consecuencia, de exposición didáctica: destaca por su variabilidad de posturas,
opiniones y respuestas a preguntas que fueron formuladas, que lo están siendo ahora y que
serán formuladas por futuros docentes, académicos y teóricos de la Lingüística (tanto de la
general como de la aplicada a la didáctica de lenguas). El presente Trabajo de Fin de Máster
(TFM) se nutre de la realidad polifacética de nuestra lengua, teniendo por destino final el
conseguir, si no responder, iluminar y aclarar el camino lingüístico respecto a la cuestión
principal del español dentro de ELE: ¿Qué es el español? ¿Cuál es el principal? Y, por encima
de todo: ¿Qué español enseñar? La postura que se defiende es la panhispánica, pero como el
término puede derivar en equis o en ye según sea la acepción que se prefiera este trabajo se
dedica a realizar una aproximación a la realidad panhispánica dentro del mundo de ELE con
el objetivo principal, como siempre se ha dado en las Ciencias Humanas, de encontrar una
solución o un camino que derive en la mejoría de nuestras aulas y en el aprovechamiento total
de todo lo que una lengua como la nuestra tiene aún por ofrecer.
The teaching of Spanish, in general, behaves in the same way as the language it wills to teach:
it changes course like a beating heart while following many different trajectories, all at the
same time, while trying to answer the questions that were already asked, the ones that are
being asked today and those that will be, definitely, asked in the future by teachers-to-be,
practicing academics and full-time language linguistics (without regarding if they’re focussing
more on the general aspects of the science or the path in the Applied Linguistics field that
explores foreign language teaching and learning). This Master’s Thesis acknowledges the
multilateral reality of Spanish as a language and it wills, if not to fully answer, to at least throw
some light into the principal question that everyone in the field has once thought of: What is,
actually, Spanish as a language? Which one is the main one? And, nevertheless, the following
question too: Which Spanish should be taught? This project answers by choosing
panhispanism as the solution, but as the noun might adjust and mean quite different things and
represent different points of view the following pages are made with the utmost hope, as
always in the field of Humanity Studies, of finding and sharing a way that will end with the
enhancement of our language classes and the complete and total exploitation of everything
that Spanish has still left to offer.
