Se hace un estudio preliminar de los movimientos sociales surgidos en Latinoamérica a inicios del siglo XX, pasando a un análisis más regional del caso colombiano en cuanto a su evolución política y económica, para finalmente entender las dinámicas rurales concretas de las organizaciones que surgen en el departamento suroccidental. The present thesis studies the genesis and evolution of the peasent and indigenous movement in the colombian department of Cauca with the rise of the armed conflict.
