El presente Trabajo Fin de Máster aborda el tema de la génesis y evolución del
movimiento campesino e indígena en el departamento colombiano del Cauca ante la
aparición del conflicto armado. Se hace un estudio preliminar de los movimientos
sociales surgidos en Latinoamérica a inicios del siglo XX, pasando a un análisis más
regional del caso colombiano en cuanto a su evolución política y económica, para
finalmente entender las dinámicas rurales concretas de las organizaciones que surgen
en el departamento suroccidental.
The present thesis studies the genesis and evolution of the peasent and
indigenous movement in the colombian department of Cauca with the rise of the
armed conflict. First, there is a preliminary study of the Latin American social
movements that appeared at the beginning of the XX century, moving on a regional
analysis of the colombian case in terms of politics and economy, to finally understand
the specific rural dynamics of the organizations that emerged at the southwestern
department.
