El artículo plantea uno de los problemas más frecuentes y persistentes para los aprendientes de español como lengua extranjera, incluso para aquellos con un nivel avanzado del idioma. Las dificultades que entraña el uso del artículo en el proceso de enseñanza/aprendizaje de ELE nos han llevado a elaborar la presente investigación, en la cual se hará primeramente una aproximación teórica al concepto de artículo y a sus diferentes posibilidades: el artículo definido, el artículo indefinido y el artículo Ø. Posteriormente, se estudiará el tratamiento que esta clase de palabras recibe en una selección de manuales de ELE. A partir de los resultados obtenidos en la revisión crítica, se diseñará una propuesta didáctica, adaptada a un nivel inicial de español, en la que se suplirán las
carencias detectadas en el análisis.
The article presents one of the most frequent and persistent problems for learners of
Spanish as a foreign language, even for those with an advanced level of the language. The difficulties involved in the use of the article in the Spanish teaching/learning process have led us to begin this research. In this study, we will first provide a theoretical approach to the concept of the article and its different possibilities: the definite article, the indefinite article, and the Ø article. Subsequently, we will examine how this class of words is treated in a selection of Spanish textbooks. Based on the results obtained from the critical review, we will design a didactic proposal, adapted to a beginner level of Spanish, which will address the deficiencies identified in the analysis.
