En la sociedad actual, el inglés ha emergido como uno de los idiomas más prevalentes a nivel
mundial. Esto, ligado a otros factores, ha aumentado su importancia tanto en la enseñanza como
en otros ámbitos. Esta creciente relevancia ha provocado el aumento en las exigencias de su
aprendizaje.
Los alumnos se encuentran rodeados de nuevas tecnologías y muchos nuevos estímulos a través
de los cuales pueden adquirir el idioma. Sin embargo, a pesar de ello, a muchos el aprendizaje de
este les supone un gran esfuerzo.
La música, por otro lado, ha sido un elemento que ha proporcionado felicidad y consuelo incluso
en los momentos más difíciles de la historia humana.
Ante todo esto, surge la pregunta de por qué no relacionar estas dos variables para observar si se
obtienen buenos resultados.
Por ello, el objetivo de estudio de este TFG es investigar los beneficios que puede llegar a tener
la utilización de las canciones y la música en general como recurso didáctico, tanto principal como
secundario, en las clases inglés en la etapa de educación primaria. Además, se buscan diferentes
estrategias y tipos de canciones para maximizar el aprovechamiento de estos recursos musicales.
Por ende, se presenta una propuesta de intervención que busca sacar el máximo beneficio a la
música y que, al mismo tiempo, motive a los alumnos a acercarse más a esta lengua. Esta
propuesta pretende realizar sesiones más lúdicas y llamativas con la música como vehículo de
aprendizaje.
Currently, English has emerged as one of the most prevalent languages worldwide. This,
linked to other factors, has increased its importance both in teaching and in other areas.
This growing relevance has led to an increase in demand for their learning.
Students are surrounded by technologies and many new stimuli trough which they can
acquire the language. However, despite this, many people still find it a great effort to learn
a foreign tongue.
Music, on the other hand, has been an element that has provided happiness and comfort
even in the most difficult moments of human history. Given all this, the question arises
as to why not relate these music and language teaching to see if the combination pays off.
Therefore, the aim of this project is to investigate the benefits of using songs and music
in general as a didactic resource, both primary and secondary, in English classes at the
primary education stage. In addition, different strategies and types are searched for to
maximise the use of these musical resources.
Therefore, I have created an intervention programme that attempts to get the maximum
benefit out of music and, at the same time, motivate students and bring them closer to the
language. This proposal aims to make the sessions more entertaining and engaging with
music as a vehicle for learning.
