Ambas están situadas en el noroeste de España y tienen una larga historia en común y la Inspección Educativa no es ajena a esta proximidad. No obstante, desde la construcción del Estado de las autonomías, las comunidades autónomas adquirieron competencia exclusiva en materia de educación, respetando las normas básicas del estado. Desde este momento las Inspecciones Educativas quedaron a expensas de la normativa desarrollada en cada C.A. convirtiéndose de facto en 18 Inspecciones Educativas diferentes. Castilla y León y Galicia publicaron sus decretos de regulación de la Inspección Educativa en 2004, los cuales no han sido modificados ni actualizados. Después de dos décadas, y varias leyes educativas, cabe pensar que dicha regulación y su aplicación posiblemente no se adapte al contexto actual. En este trabajo se compara, en ambas CC.AA, la regulación autonómica actual relativa a la Inspección Educativa, sus planes de actuación, y el contexto legislativo en el que fueron promulgados. Finalmente se determina que las dos CC.AA. tienen una regulación semejante, pero con diferencias significativas, sobre todo en los decretos de regulación de la inspección y en la manera de planificar sus actuaciones, así como en la necesidad de actualizar dicha regulación. The autonomous communities of Galicia and Castilla y León share many historical cultural and geographical characteristics. Both are in the northwest of Spain and have a long history in common and the Educational Inspection is no stranger to this proximity. However, since the construction of the State of Autonomies, the autonomous communities acquired exclusive competence in matters of education, respecting the basic norms of the state. From this moment the Educational Inspections were at the expense of the regulations developed in each AC. becoming in fact 18 different Educational Inspections. Castilla y León and Galicia published their decrees regulating the Educational Inspection in 2004, which have not been modified or updated. After two decades, and several educational laws, it is reasonable to think that said regulation and its application may not be adapted to the current context. This work compares, in both Autonomous Communities, the current regional regulations relating to educational inspection, their action plans, and the legislative context in which they were enacted.
