Concepciones del alumnado en formación docente de Educación Infantil acerca de la enseñanza del tiempo y la historia

El presente trabajo radica en una investigación cualitativa basada en un estudio exploratorio
acerca de las concepciones que tiene el alumnado en formación docente acerca de las
Ciencias Sociales, más concretamente acerca de la enseñanza del tiempo y la historia y la
influencia de la diversidad cultural y el contexto. Tras una profundización en el estado del
arte y la estructuración del marco teórico, se enmarcará el estudio que permitirá analizar este
objetivo desde una situación real. Esta investigación se ha desarrollado en Segovia en la
Facultad de Educación y Trabajo social, sobre una muestra de alumnado del tercer curso del
grado en Educación Infantil. El instrumento ha sido un cuestionario online en el cual se trata
de recoger sus ideas, pensamientos y creencias sobre las ciencias sociales, el tiempo y la
historia, su enseñanza, importancia, relevancia y limitaciones y ventajas en la etapa de
educación infantil, abordando también el tema de la diversidad cultural. El hecho de realizar
un estudio exploratorio nos permitirá conseguir una visión más real de la situación y afianzar
una posible futura investigación más compleja y completa. Entre los resultados, podemos
destacar un fuerte peso de concepciones tradicionales y memorísticas sobre la enseñanza de
la historia, junto con una valoración mayormente positiva acerca de su importancia en esta
etapa, que contrasta con no pocas dudas sobre las posibilidades de su enseñanza en edades
tempranas.
The present work is a qualitative research based on an exploratory study about the
conceptions that students in teacher training have about Social Sciences, more specifically
about the teaching of time and history and the influence of cultural diversity and context.
After an in-depth study of the state of the art and the structuring of the theoretical framework,
the study will be framed in order to analyze this objective from a real situation. This research
has been developed in Segovia in the Faculty of Education and Social Work, on a sample of
students in the third year of the degree in Early Childhood Education. The instrument has
been an online questionnaire in which we tried to collect their ideas, thoughts and beliefs
about social sciences, time and history, their teaching, importance, relevance and limitations
and advantages in the early childhood education stage, also addressing the issue of cultural
diversity. The fact of carrying out an exploratory study will allow us to get a more realistic view of the situation and to consolidate a possible future more complex and complete
research. Among the results, we can highlight a strong weight of traditional and memoristic
conceptions about the teaching of history, together with a mostly positive assessment of its
importance at this stage, which contrasts with many doubts about the possibilities of teaching
it at an early age.
