<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="es">(Español al final) This study focuses on music education in the Peruvian educational system,&#xd;
specifically in the Alto Amazonas region. Through qualitative research methods&#xd;
such as participant observation, video recordings, documentary analysis and&#xd;
questionnaires, the study assesses the state of music education and music teacher&#xd;
education, evaluates the musical training of individuals in jungle populations, and&#xd;
explores strategies for preserving Amazonian folklore. The findings reveal a lack&#xd;
of emphasis on music in the curriculum, inadequate teacher training, and a need&#xd;
to protect and revitalize folklore. Recommendations are made to address these&#xd;
issues, including curriculum development, teacher training, and revitalization&#xd;
of traditional music in classrooms. The study emphasizes the importance of&#xd;
integrating music into various subjects, increasing access to university music&#xd;
courses, conducting research, and supporting ethnomusicological studies.&#xd;
Urgent action is urged to improve music education, preserve cultural heritage, and&#xd;
provide comprehensive musical education for students in the Peruvian Amazon.&#xd;
&#xd;
Este estudio se centra en la educación musical en el sistema educativo peruano, específicamente en la región de Alto Amazonas. A través de métodos de investigación cualitativa, observación participante, grabaciones de vídeo, análisis documental y cuestionarios, el estudio evalúa el estado de la educación musical y la formación de profesores de música, analiza la formación musical de los individuos en las poblaciones selváticas y explora estrategias para preservar el folclore amazónico. Los resultados revelan una falta énfasis de la música en los planes de estudio, una formación inadecuada de los profesores y la necesidad de proteger y revitalizar el folclore amazónico. Se formulan recomendaciones para&#xd;
de los planes de estudio, la formación del profesorado y la revitalización de la música tradicional en las aulas. El estudio subraya la importancia de integrar la música en diversas asignaturas, aumentar el acceso a los cursos universitarios de música y apoyar los estudios etnomusicológicos.&#xd;
Se insta a tomar medidas urgentes para mejorar la educación musical, preservar el patrimonio cultural y&#xd;
y proporcionar una educación musical integral a los estudiantes de la Amazonía peruana.</dim:field>
