El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado aborda la importancia del juego como eje central en
el proceso educativo durante la etapa de Educación Infantil. Tiene como objetivo
principal analizar cómo la transformación de los diferentes espacios de juego dentro de
un centro educativo, mediante estrategias innovadoras, favorecen al desarrollo
psicomotor y al aprendizaje activo en el alumnado de primero de Educación Infantil. La
fundamentación teórica se basa en la definición del juego y su evolución a lo largo de la
historia, las teorías del juego y el desarrollo psicomotor en la etapa de educación infantil.
La metodología empleada sigue un enfoque cualitativo, activo y vivencial, basado en el
Aprendizaje Basado en el Juego (ABJ) y la Psicomotricidad Vivenciada, favoreciendo la
autonomía y el desarrollo integral del alumnado. Se propone una situación de aprendizaje
titulada “El cuerpo en acción, jugamos para crecer”, llevada a cabo con un grupo de 13
niños entre 3 y 4 años, mediante una propuesta de diez sesiones, de las cuales se
implementaron cinco por limitaciones temporales y organizativas. Aun así, se observaron
avances significativos en el desarrollo psicomotor y una alta implicación del alumnado,
evidenciando el valor del juego en estas edades.
This undergraduate thesis explores the central role of play in early childhood education,
emphasizing its significance as a core element in the learning process. The primary aim
is to examine how the transformation of play spaces within an educational setting through
the use of innovative strategies can support psychomotor development and promote active
learning among first-year preschool students. The theoretical framework draws on the
historical evolution and definitions of play, key theories of play, and the foundations of
psychomotor development in early education. The methodology follows a qualitative,
experiential, and participatory approach, grounded in Game-Based Learning (GBL) and
Experiential Psychomotricity. This pedagogical stance fosters autonomy and holistic
development in young children. As part of the research, a learning activity titled “the body
in action: we play to grow” was designed and implemented with a group of 13 children
aged 3 to 4. Although the proposal originally consisted of ten sessions, only five could be
carried out due to time and organizational constraints. Nevertheless, the intervention led to noticeable improvements in psychomotor skills and demonstrated strong engagement
from the children, highlighting the educational value of play at this stage of development.
