Nos situamos en una antigua ciudad romana, la
Colonia Clunia Sulpicia, que en tiempos del
emperador Galba se consolidó como una gran urbe,
capital de convento jurídico y ejemplo destacado de
las arquitecturas clásicas.
Dentro de este entramado urbano monumental, el
foro constituía el núcleo central de la vida política,
jurídica, religiosa y comercial, y se erigía como el
espacio de representación por excelencia de la
ciudad.
El presente trabajo tiene como finalidad
aproximarse a la configuración del foro cluniense y
a su función en la vida cotidiana de sus habitantes,
recurriendo a una reconstrucción tridimensional que
busca transmitir de la manera más fiel posible la
espacialidad del conjunto y la experiencia que un
ciudadano romano habría podido sentir al transitar
por él
We are situated in an ancient Roman city, the
Colonia Clunia Sulpicia, which during the reign of
Emperor Galba consolidated itself as a major urban
center, capital of a conventus iuridicus and an
outstanding example of classical architecture.
Within this monumental urban framework, the
forum constituted the central core of political, legal,
religious, and commercial life, serving as the city’s
main space of civic representation.
The purpose of this project is to approach the
configuration of the Clunian forum and its role in
the daily life of its inhabitants, through a threedimensional
reconstruction that seeks to convey as
faithfully as possible the spatiality of the complex
and the experience a Roman citizen might have felt
when passing through it
