<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="es">The arylation of arenes is an important reaction in synthesis, both first principles and&#xd;
late stage. Traditionally, this reaction is carried out through the coupling of an aryl halide&#xd;
and an organometallic derivative.&#xd;
Through the application of C–H activation in homogeneous catalysis, a greener&#xd;
alternative to the traditional reactions is found. Instead of an organometallic compound,&#xd;
the hydrocarbon is reacted directly with the aryl halide. To facilitate the reaction of the&#xd;
generally inert C–H bond on a Pd centre, Metal-Ligand Cooperation is required. The&#xd;
research group has focused mainly on the [2,2’-bipyridin]-6(1H)-one ligand. In this work&#xd;
we synthesize a new ligand that outperforms the previously used one in both rate and&#xd;
selectivity.&#xd;
Metallic complexes with this new ligand were synthesized and stochiometric&#xd;
experiments were carried out as a preliminary mechanistic study.</dim:field>
<dim:field mdschema="dc" element="description" qualifier="abstract" lang="es">La reacción de arilación de arenos es importante en la síntesis, tanto en sus primeras&#xd;
etapas como en las últimas. Tradicionalmente, esta reacción se lleva a cabo mediante el&#xd;
acoplamiento de un haluro de arilo y un derivado organometálico.&#xd;
Utilizando como estrategia la activación C–H en catálisis homogénea se obtiene una&#xd;
alternativa más verde. En lugar de un derivado organometálico el hidrocarburo se hace&#xd;
reaccionar directamente con el haluro de arilo. Para facilitar la reacción del enlace C–H,&#xd;
generalmente inerte, en el centro de Pd se requiere Cooperación Metal Ligando. El&#xd;
grupo de investigación se ha centrado principalmente en el ligando [2,2’-bipiridin]-&#xd;
6(1H)-ona. En este trabajo hemos sintetizado un nuevo ligando que supera al utilizado&#xd;
anteriormente tanto en velocidad como selectividad.&#xd;
Se han sintetizado complejos metálicos con este nuevo ligando y se han realizado&#xd;
experimentos estequiométricos como estudio mecanístico preliminar.</dim:field>
