Se abordan las principales teorías de la pena, así como sus clases, para dar un contexto al análisis de la Prisión Permanente Revisable. Se explican las principales características de esta pena, esclareciendo cómo se puede acceder al tercer grado, la revisión de la condena y la suspensión. Se desglosa el recurso de Inconstitucionalidad presentado contra la Ley Orgánica que introduce esta pena en el ordenamiento jurídico español, así como los principales argumentos a favor y en contra dados por la doctrina. Además, trata de darse una visión criminológica sobre la prisión permanente revisable. Lo más destacable es la interpretación de la resocialización. Se analizan los distintos métodos que favorecen a ello, como son los tratamientos penitenciarios, los permisos de salida, la libertad condicional, las redes de apoyo, el estigma social… Por último, se trata de responder a la pregunta, ¿es posible resocializar a una persona después de una condena de Prisión Permanente Revisable? This project aims to analyze the possibility of making the sentence of Reviewable Permanent Imprisonment compatible with the resocialization and reintegration of prisoners. The main theories of punishment, as well as its various forms, are discussed to provide context for the analysis of Reviewable Permanent Imprisonment. The main characteristics of this sentence are explained, clarifying how the third degree, review of the sentence, and suspension can be accessed. The appeal of unconstitutionality filed against the Organic Law introducing this sentence into the Spanish legal system is outlined, along with the main arguments for and against it presented by legal doctrine. Furthermore, the project attempts to offer a criminological perspective on reviewable permanent imprisonment. The most notable aspect is the interpretation of resocialization. Various methods that promote this are analyzed, such as prison treatment, release permits, probation, support networks, social stigma, and so on.
