Identidad digital de los jóvenes en Twitter/X: tendencias de uso de préstamos y palabras malsonantes (2018-2025)

Este Trabajo de Fin de Grado analiza la evolución del español en el entorno digital,
tomando como objeto de estudio la red social Twitter (actualmente X) teniendo en cuenta el
periodo 2018 - 2024. Se parte de la hipótesis de que el discurso digital no empobrece la lengua,
sino que evidencia su capacidad de adaptación y enriquecimiento. Para ello, se han
seleccionado veintidós perfiles de usuarios menores de 30 años y se ha trabajado con un corpus
de tweets recogido mediante la herramienta Twexportly. El análisis se centra en dos fenómenos
clave: el uso de extranjerismos y la presencia de palabras malsonantes. A través de un enfoque
comparativo, se examinan las transformaciones lingüísticas ocurridas en el periodo analizado.
Los resultados muestran una tendencia clara hacia la diversidad expresiva y la innovación
discursiva. Se concluye que el discurso digital refleja una evolución legítima del español,
propia de un entorno que se encuentra en constante cambio.
This Final Degree Project analyses the evolution of Spanish in the digital environment,
focusing on the social network Twitter (now X) over the period 2018 - 2024. It starts from the
hypothesis that digital discourse does not impoverish the language, but rather highlights its
capacity for adaptation and enrichment. To this end, twenty two profiles of users under 30 years
old have been selected and a corpus of tweets has been compiled using the Twexportly tool.
The analysis focuses on two key phenomena: the use of foreign words and the presence of
vulgarity. Through a comparative approach, the linguistic transformations that occurred during
the analysed period are examined. The results show a clear trend towards expressive diversity
and discursive innovation. It is concluded that digital discourse reflects a legitimate evolution
of Spanish, characteristic of an environment that is in constant change.
