Analiza la normativa aplicable sobre evaluación ambiental, ordenación del territorio, autorizaciones y bienestar animal. Aunque reconoce los beneficios económicos de estas instalaciones, también señala sus riesgos ambientales, sanitarios y sociales. Dado que el término “macrogranja” no está legalmente definido, se utiliza el número de plazas como criterio, a partir del cual se exige la Autorización Ambiental Integrada (AAI). El trabajo repasa la normativa europea, estatal y autonómica, abordando temas como el impacto ambiental, la gestión de purines o la contaminación por nitratos. También se describe el procedimiento necesario para su implantación, desde el proyecto técnico hasta los permisos administrativos, y se analiza jurisprudencia relevante sobre los conflictos que generan estas explotaciones intensivas This Bachelor's Thesis examines pig megafarms from a legal and environmental perspective, focusing on their establishment in Castilla y León. It also outlines the procedural steps required to establish a megafarm, from the technical project to obtaining the necessary administrative permits.
