Facultad de Derecho El presente Trabajo de Fin de Grado (TFG) ofrece un análisis, desde la perspectiva del Derecho Internacional Público, de la situación y consecuencias fruto de la grave crisis humanitaria que tiene lugar en Afganistán y que incide de manera especialmente cruel sobre las mujeres y niñas del país. A raíz de la toma de poder por el régimen talibán en agosto de 2021, las mujeres afganas sufren la violación sistemática y reiterada de sus derechos más fundamentales, vulnerando los tratados y compromisos internacionales sobre Derechos Humanos de los que el Estado afgano forma parte. Pese a que, tras su retorno al poder, los talibanes prometieron respetar los derechos de las mujeres de manera compatible con la ley islámica, las restricciones y represión establecidas han reducido la existencia de las afganas a su mínima expresión. Si bien el seguimiento por parte de la comunidad internacional es constante y las actuaciones con el objetivo de mejorar la situación son numerosas, los logros conseguidos han sido reducidos y la realidad continúa siendo alarmante. This project offers an analysis, from the Public International Law perspective, of the situation and consequences resulting from the serious humanitarian crisis taking place in Afghanistan, which has a particularly cruel impact on the country’s women and girls. Following the Taliban regime’s seizure of power in August 2021, Afghan women have suffered systematic and repeated violations of their most fundamental rights, infringing the international treaties and commitments on Human Rights to which the Afghan State is a party. Although, upon their return to power, the Taliban promised to respect women’s rights in ways compatible with the Islamic law, the restrictions and repression imposed have reduced the existence of Afghan women to a minimum.
