Este trabajo de Fin de Grado en Trabajo Social investiga y analiza la relación de las
sustancias psicoactivas con la salud mental y los trastornos mentales que ocasiona,
teniendo en cuenta las funciones del Trabajo Social y los recursos y servicios ofrecidos
en Castilla y León. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar tanto los fundamentos teóricos
como las situaciones y experiencias reales de usuarios/as y profesionales de este
colectivo vulnerable mediante el diseño de un estudio cualitativo y cuantitativo.
Se trata de un estudio exploratorio para valorar mínimamente esta situación a través de
encuestas a usuarios/as de ACLAD, Proyecto Hombre y Aldama, asociaciones que
atienden a personas drogodependientes y entrevistas a profesionales de Trabajo Social
de ACLAD, siendo el preludio a investigaciones exhaustivas.
A través de los resultados obtenidos, se comprueba el impacto que generan las
adicciones en la salud mental, la importancia que desempeña el papel del Trabajo Social
en este colectivo y el sistema de atención a personas drogodependientes, teniendo en
cuenta las fortalezas y debilidades de este sistema y sabiendo que aún queda trayectoria
para alcanzar una óptima atención social integral.
This Final Degree Project in Social Work investigates and analyzes the relationship
of psychoactive substances with mental health and the mental disorders it causes, taking
into account the functions of Social Work and the resources and services offered in
Castilla y León. The aim of this work is to analyse both the theoretical foundations and
the real situations and experiences of users and professionals of this vulnerable group
through the design of a qualitative and quantitative study.
This is an exploratory study to minimally assess this situation through surveys of users
of ACLAD, Proyecto Hombre and Aldama, associations that care for drug addicts and
interviews with ACLAD Social Work professionals, being the prelude to exhaustive
investigations.
Through the results obtained, the impact generated by addictions on mental health, the
importance of the role of Social Work in this group and the system of care for drug
addicts are verified, taking into account the strengths and weaknesses of this system and
knowing that there is still a long way to go to achieve optimal comprehensive social
care.
