La LGBTIQ fobia en los institutos de España

La situación actual de la comunidad LGBTIQ+ en los sistemas educativos es un tema de
gran urgencia que requiere ser estudiado con la atención y la relevancia que merece, tanto
a nivel social como educativo. La discriminación a la que se enfrentan en los colegios los
alumnos que no se ajustan a los estándares cis-heterosexuales genera un ambiente muy
negativo que afecta a su bienestar tanto emocional como académico. Es fundamental que
las escuelas sean espacios de inclusión y respeto, donde todos los estudiantes puedas ser
libres, expresarse libremente y poder desarrollar su identidad sin temor a ser acosado o
juzgado. Este proceso comienza desde el deber de los docentes como figuras de autoridad
dentro de las escuelas. La invisibilidad y el rechazo que sufre esta comunidad a menudo
provienen de la falta de formación y sensibilización de los docentes y del sistema
educativo. Si los educadores estuviesen mejor formados y capacitados en temas de
diversidad sexual y género, podrían crear un ambiente mucho más seguro y acogedor en
las aulas.
The current situation of the LGBTIQ community in education systems is an issue of great
urgency that needs to be studied and given the importance it deserves, at a social and
educational level. The discrimination faced in schools by students who do not meet cis-
heterosexual standards creates a very negative environment that affects their emotional
and academic wellbeing. It is very important that schools are spaces of inclusion and
respect, where all students can be free, express themselves freely and be able to develop
their identity without fear of being bullied or judged, and it all starts with the power of
teachers. The invisibility and rejection experienced by this community often stems from
a lack of training and awareness by teachers and the education system. If educators were
better trained and trained on issues of sexual and gender diversity, they could create a
much safer and more welcoming environment in classrooms.
