Pretendemos desarrollar el tema del título, fundamentalmente, en tres apartados. Después de una breve reflexión sobre la motivación a la lectura, para enmarcar en ella la puntuación, veremos, en el segundo apartado, la importancia y características de la primera frase de un texto (delimitada por el primer punto), teniendo en cuenta su longitud, contenido, sintaxis, puntuación y elementos paratextuales. Finalmente comentaremos algunos fenómenos de puntuación que pueden desanimar al lector.
We intend to develop the topic of the title, basically, in three sections. After a brief discussion about the motivation to read, to frame it in the score, we shall see, in the second paragraph, the importance and characteristics of the first sentence of a text (enclosed by the first point), taking into account its length, content, syntax, punctuation and paratextual elements. Finally we will comment upon some scoring phenomena that may discourage the reader.
