Se analizan las contribuciones que intentan resolver la relación del infinitivo con la oración de la que depende hechas tanto desde la teoría gramatical funcionalista como desde el generativismo. Los autores hacen la propuesta de un nexo "ø", que sería el transpositor desde el punto de vista funcionalista y el núcleo de la proyección del complementante desde el punto de vista del generativismo. In this article the nature of the infinitive constructions in Spanish is dealt with again. Contributions trying to solve the relation of the infinitive with the sentence on which it depends, both from the functionalist grammar theory and the generativism, are reviewed.
