Iconographic evidence, and the writings of the classics, show the practice of single combat among the Celtiberians. In an attempt to contribute to a better understanding of the Celts of the Iberian Peninsula, a description of this procedure as performed by the old Indo-European peoples, especially the Celts, is presented in this work.
Entre los celtíberos, el combate individual con objeto de dirimir contiendas bélicas ha sido descrito por los clásicos, y está documentado por representaciones iconográficas. Se estudian aquí estas prácticas bélicas entre los pueblos indo-europeos, especialmente los célticos, en un intento de poder contribuir a un mejor conocimiento de este tema en las sociedades celtibéricas.
