This article presents a high-efficiency system for inspection of solar panels in photovoltaic plants by means of Electroluminescence (EL) measurements, both during daytime and nighttime. The system enables both daytime EL imaging in an efficient and competitive manner and substantially improves the efficiency of nighttime EL imaging, reduces employees and EL image acquisition time. These improvements open the door to carry out massive electroluminescence tests in real operating conditions during the day, and significantly improve the technical-operational conditions in night environments. The progress made include purely operational improvements, such as the reduction of auxiliary elements, as well as a wireless connection to facilitate the mobility of the inspection system in the difficult environments in which these types of PV installations are usually built.
