La femme fatale. Evolución del mito desde la literatura a la pintura en la segunda mitad del siglo XIX

La femme fatale es aquella capaz utilizar su belleza y sensualidad para conseguir
todo lo que desea. Pero no son sólo mujeres bellas, si no que tienen un punto
perverso, malvado, capaz de arrastrar a cualquiera al desastre si de esta manera
alcanzan su objetivo.
Han existido a lo largo de toda la historia, pero su máximo desarrollo se da a en
la Europa occidental a lo largo del siglo XIX, momento de multitud de cambios
sociales, demográficos y culturales. Surge así el caldo de cultivo idóneo para el
desarrollo de una nueva iconografía que representará a estas mujeres oscuras y
enigmáticas. De esta manera la femme fatale pasará a ser la gran protagonista de
muchos de los textos, lienzos y representaciones escénicas del momento, que
influenciarán entre sí, dejándonos grandes ejemplos y colaboraciones entre las
diferentes artes.
El presente trabajo se centra precisamente en el análisis de las diferentes
mujeres, sus orígenes su traslado a la literatura y la pintura, bajo ese velo de
peligrosidad y fatalidad que las envuelve.
The femme fatale is the one that can use its beauty and sensuality to get
everything she desires. They are not just beautiful women, but they have a
wicked, evil point, capable of drag anyone to disaster if, in this way, they reach
their goal.
They have existed all history, but their greatest development is in Western
Europe over the nineteenth century, years of social, demographic and cultural
changes. Is the perfect moment to start a new iconography that will represent
these dark and enigmatic women. In this way, the femme fatale will become the
main character of many books, canvases and scenic representations of the
moment, which will influence each other, giving us great examples and
collaborations between the different arts.
The present work focuses on the analysis of the different women, their stories
and the leap into literature and painting, under a veil of danger and fatality that
surrounds them.
