AB We propose a comparison of two important sets of engravings about St. Theresa of Avila’s life: Vita Beatae Teresiae to Iesu Virginis and Vita effigiata di S. Teresa Vergine, printed in Antwerp in 1613 and in Rome in 1655. The analysis shows the evolution of the forms and the subjects in St. Theresa’s iconography through seventeenth century.
