AB We propose an approach to the festive phenomenon in Oviedo in the early 16th century. We review the most representative ceremonies, their origin and characteristics, the ludic manifestations derived from them -dances, games, bullfights, processions- and the economic impact of these joys in local finances, selecting the most solemn examples and those with greatest symbolism for the local community.
