AB The aim of this study was to explore the couplingamong neural oscillations in different frequency bands usingtwo approaches: conventional phase-amplitude coupling (PAC)and a novel event-related PAC. Both measures were applied tothe electroencephalographic activity from 20 healthyvolunteers. The results showed that the phase of alpha bandmodulated gamma power. Event-related PAC measures thecoupling between frequency rhythms without losing oftemporal resolution. Therefore, it may provide further insightsinto the characterization of brain dynamics.
