RT info:eu-repo/semantics/article T1 Dos nuevos cascos hispano-calcídicos en contexto urbano: los "oppida" celtibéricos de "Aratis" (Aranda de Moncayo, Zaragoza) y "Contrebia Carbica" (Villas Viejas, Cuenca) A1 Fatás Fernández, Luis A1 Graells i Fabregat, Raimon A1 Lorrio Alvarado, Alberto José A1 Romeo Marugán, Francisco A2 Ediciones Universidad de Valladolid K1 Arqueología AB The paper focuses on two fragments of Hispano-chalcidian helmet. Both have been found in celtiberian oppida: Aratis (Aranda de Moncayo, Zaragoza) and Contrebia Carbica (Villas Viejas, Cuenca). These examples increase the catalog of this unique model, comprising more 30 helmets. The fragments correspond to the nose guards. The similar morphology allows us to discuss the later groups in the evolution of this helmet type. Simultaneously, the paper analyzed the contexts of origin, considering the discovery of defensive weapons in urban areas, with particular interest on the fragment of Aranda because it has been found in the same context where illegally excavations recovered, some years ago, an outstanding set of helmets of the same type.
