AB The ambiguity of the concept of servant was blurred over modern times to be defined as the serv-ant who serves for wages in the early nineteenth century. This paper will try to discover the importance of this sector of the population in Spain between the mid-eighteenth century and early nineteenth century, both in relation to the population and in relation to the labor market and society of this time.
