On the basis of epigraphical sources we identify different cognomina to personal ages. This kind of names shows a very frequent use in roman Spain, specially in certain well-stablished families. Many of their bearers are men and women of a high social prestige who develop political and religious public functions in a local, provincial or imperial level. Nevertheless these names can also appear in other different social groups. Most of them are linked to roman nomina. Those ones related to elder stages of life are more popular and we can find some of them only in female or male bearers.
