RT info:eu-repo/semantics/article T1 Validación del test de Hoff en futbolistas universitarios a 2600 metros sobre el nivel del mar A1 León Ariza, Henry Humberto A1 Ramírez Villada, Jhon Fredy A1 Sánchez Jiménez, Alveiro A2 Ediciones Universidad de Valladolid AB Aim: to establish the validity of the Hoff test to assess the aerobic power of University soccer players at 2600 meters above sea level. Methods: 20 male soccer players (age: 21.5 ± 2.8 years, weight: 70.7 ± 6.7 Kg, height: 174.8 ± 5.8 cm) were evaluated with an incremental treadmill test (laboratory test), and the Hoff test (field test), maximum distance –with the ball– in 10 minutes, using a path of 290 meters. Maximum oxygen consumption (VO2max), the CO2 production (VCO2), Heart rate (HR) and maximum ventilation (Vmax) were evaluated in both tests. Results: correlations between the variables VO2max (r = 0.854 p < 0.01), HRmax (r = 0.660 p < 0.01) and Vmax (r = 0.545 p < 0.05) suggest an indistinct use of both laboratory and field tests, thereby stablising a preliminary validation criteria for the Hoff test in university soccer players.
