AB The aim of this project is to perform a comparative analysis of two Spanish translations ofVirginia Woolf’s essay A Room of One’s Own, with a special emphasis on issues concerning syntax, rhythm, style and cohesion in order to assess the accuracy of these translations with regard to the so-called ‘feminine sentence’: an idea developed by this writer as a proposal for a more flexible and authentic literary idiom that would promote women’s writing.
