As such, it is subject to the general rules governing any economic activity.According to experience, most services also require some kind of specific regulation. Provided that new services are of the same nature as the traditional ones, they should be subject to the same regulation. On the contrary, if new services had differential distinctive features, it would not be justified to apply them the regulations of traditional services. In some cases, their specific features may require sector-specific regulation or, at least, the adaptation of the general legal framework. Finally, it could be the case that new services substantially alter the basis on which the regulation was based, which could advise the deregulation of the concerned sector SN 1132-7170 YR 2017 FD 2017 LK http://uvadoc.uva.es/handle/10324/28429 UL http://uvadoc.uva.es/handle/10324/28429 LA spa NO Revista de estudios europeos, 2017, N.70, pags.159-178 DS UVaDOC RD 23-nov-2024
