AB We are immersed in a process of globalization in which economic transactions areconstantly taking place. All companies have a large amount of economic documentationthat needs to be translated in order to be understood beyond our borders. For this reason,economic translation is one of the most demanded fields by translation agencies. Thus,the aim of this study is to analyse and suggest translations to the various problems thatmay arise during the translation of economic documents. The text used for this purposeis "Face it, China totally owns the BRICS", a news report published on September 1st,2017 in the online version of Forbes. This study deals with specialized economictranslation, as well as the news report genre, from a theoretical-practical perspective withthe translation of the news report and the subsequent analysis of the most problematicaspects that have arisen during the development of the translation.
