El caso del principado de Andorra A1 Esteve Rico, Sergio A2 Ediciones Universidad de Valladolid AB The free movement of persons, as well as the freedom of residence, arte concepts that in Europe are closely linked to the EU and the Schengen area. However, the existence of some micro- States who are not EU members has forced to create legal formulas to prevent the isolation of these small sovereign enclaves. This paper studies critically the international agreements between the Principality of Andorra, the Kingdom of Spain and the French Republic in the field of movement of persons and residence. The purpose is to clarify, through a comparative study, to what extent these agreements are beneficial for each of the Parties, bearing in mind that two of them are member States of the EU and the Schengen area. In this regard, the results of the surveys invite us to reflect on the desirability of these agreements and its level of coherence with the European ideal of bringing the entire continent together within the EU.
