AB Financial technology is one of the biggest challenges the European Union faces on its way to the Digital Single Market. It is a highly disruptive phenomenon, which requires patience to observe its evolution and prudence when it comes to making decisions. The Financial Technology Action Plan I think satisfies both needs. It is a text that includes a large number of policies that address the most relevant issues in relation to the FinTech, keeping the feet on the ground and providing the national authorities with interesting tools in order to advance the regulation of these new models. Throughout these pages I try to explain and systematize the various policies raised, linking them with the public and private legislative initiatives that we have known in Spain in recent times.
